What's psychedelic rock, and who are its representants?

Today we are going to learn something together. I've been listening rock recently, but I don't know a lot of artists/songs so this list could also help me in my hunting.

The mind-expanding movement of the 60s.

The psychedelic rock is, as it names describes, rock that is inspired in hallucinogens (mostly acid and marijuana) experiences. It wants to - kind of - record the felt sensations and play it in us using music as a tool.

However, this doesn't mean you have to be high while listening it to get into the mood.

The psychedelic rock experimented and revolutioned the studio techniques, the scenarios, and transformed people. And impacted the counter-culture persons; we must not forget it

A really interesting video up there. It talks more about artists and the 60s scene in general.
